Professional Tutors of America, Inc. was established in 1983.
What is your primary product or service?
Tutoring services direct to the home in any subject and any level including college and adult students. Professional Tutors of America, Inc. also provides tutoring services for the following populations: Foster & Emancipated youth, Probation youth, Native American youth, Homeless youth through McKinney Vento, District students through Supplemental Educational Services (SES), Private sector, Company employees though Business & Corporate training, Neglected & Delinquent youth (Title 1), & Special Education students through Non Public Agency (NPA) Services.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Professional Tutors of America Inc. has been providing tutorial services since 1983. It’s founders, Bob and Judy Harraka, were former teachers contracted with Rowland Unified School District, California from 1970-1983. Bob & Judy realized that they can be more effective teachers by working with students on an individual basis. Due to Bob & Judy's dream, Professional Tutors of America expanded nationally.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Professional Tutors of America provides quality tutoring services direct to the home in any subject or level,including college and adult students. All tutors are highly qualified professional who at minimum have a college degree and who all have tutoring and/or teaching experience in the private and/or public sector. We provide tutoring instruction (One-to-One) in any subject.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Our tutoring services are nationwide.

Our tutorial services are available 7 days a week, mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Our corporate office is open Monday - Friday 9:00 - 5:00pm PST.
