How long have you been in business?
We have been in business since 1991. We started out by appointment only in Irvine and opened a store in Laguna Beach in 1992.
What is your primary product or service?
We sell and and rent rare and collectible books and also appraise and repair books
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I was in the printing business and also hada travel agency. I started to buy inexpensive old books, just because they were interesting. I saw books that were better and more expensive and decided to sell the original ones to buy the more expensive ones. They sold so well that it became a business
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Most people that sell used books, go to garage sales and thrift stores to buy 50 cent or $1 books and sell them a few dollars. We buy books that are much more expensive and are rare and collectible,primarily at auction in England.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Laguna Beach is ourr only location but we may open another location in England
Provide detailed directions to your location
We are located one block inland from the Surf & San Hotel. If you are coming south on Pacific Coast Highway, you would turn left on Mountain and then right on Glenneyre and we are in the middle of the block
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept Visa, Master Card, american Express, cash, checks, money orders and cheques in British pounds sterling
Which areas do you service?
We sell all over the world
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Ed Postal is the owner
What are your hours of operation?
We are open from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday and 11:30 to 4:00 on Saturday
