Mr. Applegate has been in the horticulture industry since 1963, providing professional arboricultural consulting since 1984. He was the first certified tree risk assessor in California, one of the first certified arborists, and the first person in the country to graduate from the ASCA consulting academy and become a registered consulting arborist. His expertise includes tree and landscape appraisal, tree preservation, diagnosis of tree and palm problems, construction impact mitigation, forensic consulting and testimony, risk assessment, pruning specifications and supervision, species selection and tree health monitoring.
Arborgate consults for insurance companies, developers, theme parks, museums, homeowners' associations, landscape architects, landscape contractors, property managers, attorneys, schools, universities and governmental bodies.
