An intimate venue with first-class talent, Irvine Barclay Theatre showcases top-notch artists and entertainers from across the nation and around the world. With only 750 seats, everyone gets a great view no matter what you choose to attend – established artists, cutting-edge work, contemporary dance, world music, theater, chamber music or family events. The Barclay is home to the internationally acclaimed New World Flamenco Festival that happens each August.

How long have you been in business?
Irvine Barclay Theatre opened in the fall of 1990.
What is your primary product or service?
Since opening its doors in 1990, Irvine Barclay Theatre has emerged as one of California's most imaginative performing arts showcases. A unique collaborative venture among the City of Irvine, the University of California, Irvine, and the private sector, the theatre has a reputation for wide-ranging programming in the fields of contemporary dance, music, and theater arts. Irvine Barclay Theatre’s signature programs include the critically acclaimed New World Flamenco Festival and Irvine International Family Festival. Performances take place in the 756-seat Cheng Hall, renowned for its intimate atmosphere and superb acoustics.

What type of payments do you accept?
We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. We will accept checks only when ordering in person at the box office.
Which areas do you service?
Our performances regularly draw audiences from throughout southern California. The Barclay also produces the New World Flamenco Festival which draws audiences from across North America.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Irvine Barclay Theatre is managed by a 501(c)3 nonprofit management company headed by Douglas C. Rankin, president.
What are your hours of operation?
The box office is open Monday through Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday & Sunday from noon to 4pm. On performance evenings, the box office is open until 1/2 hour past curtain time.
