How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Varied background. A friend got me interested in appraising. I then took a college course, finished highest in the class and was hired by the teacher who was a bank appraiser just starting his own independent fee appraisal business. I appraised while he reviewed and handled marketing. I started with commercial & industrial narrative reports and added residential work later.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Experience in all types of properties and appraisal formats, honest, quick turnaround, lower fees than typical large appraisal management companies.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
1 and no.
