How long have you been in business?
The Furniture Medic franchise has been in business since the early 90's. Our particular franchise has been in operation serving all of Southern California since September 2007.
What is your primary product or service?
We repair all types of furniture as well as re-upholster pieces for commercial or residential customers. We usually are able to complete most repairs on-site. We also work with many of the top insurance companies and handle all of their claims that deal with water/fire or smoke damage.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have a family member that still owns his franchise that originally got me interested. I personally have an extensive background in metal and wood fabrication and thought that this type of work would suit my abilities and talent well.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Furniture Medic is a very large organization with several hundred franchises nationwide. We have a 24/7 support group, online bulletin board for owners to share, our own one of a kind products developed from our home office and specialized training that must be taken and passed before opening our doors to the public. We are also part of the ServiceMaster brand which includes other major names such as Terminix, Merry Maids, TruGreen, ServiceMaster Clean and AHS (American Home Shield).
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
As most Furniture Medic franchises, we currently have one location. We are the only Furniture Medic franchise physically located inside of Orange County lines and focus most of our work here due to that.
What type of payments do you accept?
Currently we accept cash, personal/business checks and most major credit cards.
Which areas do you service?
We service all of Southern CA however focus most of our attention within Orange County since we are located here.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 7:00pm.
