How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Background in food and wine, hotel & restaurants. We first started in France, since we had a home there, and quickly expanded to the rest of Europe and South America, then to Australia, NZ and South Africa.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We're the oldest "dedicated" wine tour company in the world, and have built very special relationships with owners of many of the world's top wineries and their winemakers. We enjoy great respect from these people as they have learned over the years that we not only bring top class clients to visit them, but we also educate our clients before and during their visit so everyone gains from the experience. Peter Smith has developed a knowledge of wine making in the different regions of the world that is unsurpassed in this specialist niche-tourism business.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We offer tours in all the most important wine regions of the world, though we have not focussed heavily on California or other US wine regions. We are now starting to expand our services in California.

Our headquarters are a small office in Newport Beach, and we rarely have visitors - it's not where the action is! Since we travel so much the business is run off Peter's laptop wherever he happens to be tasting and touring at the time.
