The Bolsa Chica Land Trust was formed in 1992 in response to the awareness that the entire 1700 acres of Bolsa Chica ecosystem of wetlands and mesas were threatened with development. Today, Bolsa Chica stand largely preserved.
The Land Trust offers free tours on the 3rd Sunday of each month. The Bolsa Chica Stewards have work days open to all who are interested in "restoration as recreation" on the 3rd Saturday of each month.
