How long have you been in business?
Hirsch & Associates started business in 1977 as a landscape design company specializing residential and estate landscape design. In 1979 Commercial Retail and Public Works projects were added to design services. In 1988 Hirsch & Associates was incorporated as Hirsch & Associates Inc (Landscape Architects). The firm is a certified Small Business Enterprise and a Veteran Owned Business, and is licensed to provides services in California, Arizona and Nevada.
What is your primary product or service?
Currently the firm provides Landscape Architectural design services for, 1) Municipal Public Works Projects such as streetscapes, neighborhood parks, community parks, sports complexes, recreational trails and ocean front projects. 2) Commercial Retail Centers, 3) Residential Planned Communities, 4) Landscape Restoration projects including water conservation, bio-retention and infiltration, native planting design, irrigation design and water auditing. Services for each design category include Conceptual Design,Design Development, Construction Documents, Cost Estimating and Construction Management. All design documents are prepared in the latest version of AutoCAD, In Design, Excel, Illustrator and 3D Sketch-Up.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
While attending college in Florida and studying civil engineering I worked for the City of Fort Walton Beach as Assistant to the City Engineer. This experience provided me an understanding of municipal public works projects and interaction with the public. After graduation and leaving service in the US Navy in 1972, I was hired by a Landscape Architectural company in Yorba Linda, California to design residential and public park projects. In 1973, I was hired by the City of Anaheim, California as a Landscape Planner to design city parks.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Hirsch & Associates Inc has extensive experience in all the categories listed and has been in business since 1977.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
The firm is currently located in Anaheim California with future expansion plans to Arizona and Nevada as the economy dictates.
